The current government advice is, to minimise wherever possible, the number of face to face meetings/events. Please note that this advice is current as of March 20, 2020. For regularly updated health alerts, please visit and monitor: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus.
Given this backdrop, as a precautionary measure, The Geelong Cemeteries Trust will be encouraging client families to, wherever possible contact our staff via phone or email. We currently maintain full operations and are well placed to handle most situations or requests electronically or remotely.
At this stage, we are not suspending any face to face meetings, however if you do need to visit us, we do ask that you respect social distancing protocols. If you are feeling unwell, stay home, do not attend our office and seek medical advice. There may be a limit to the number of clients that we able to assist at certain times and it is for this reason that we ask you to please contact us to book in your appointment.
Like other businesses, we are diligent in maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, including client service rooms, office areas and our crematorium chapel. With your assistance we can continue to protect our staff and the public.
During this difficult time, regardless of if any further restriction to our operations are needed, we will continue to be available on phone, website and email.
As current direction has now restricted indoor gatherings to less than 100 people, please consider the web streaming option we have available at the crematorium chapel for any services. Your funeral director can assist with this option.
